Rajiv Laroia, M.S. '89 and Ph.D. '92 in electrical engineering, will be inducted into the Clark School's Innovation Hall of Fame for his work in telecommunications.

The ceremony will take place in the Hall of Fame, which is located in the north corridor of the Kim Engineering Building, at 4:30 p.m. on October 16. President Mote will confer the Innovation Hall of Fame medallion.

Laroia is a leading developer of wireline and wireless technologies who recently sold his company to communications giant QUALCOMM. His inventions have doubled the speed of data over telephone line modems and will help companies bring enhanced internet functions to mobile phones.
